Senior Payroll Officer
The role main accountabilities will be the following:
- Records, analyzes and implements procedures of the Human Resources Department
- Maintains, updates, and improves the HR data recording system.
- Registers and manages the information and forms in the electronic system ERGANI, regarding recruitments, dismissals, departures, social security licenses, health & safety issues , tax data, internship
- Ensures compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
- Draws up employment contracts of the staff and monitors contracts of external collaborators of the Human Resources Department.
- Informs, records and submits information about staff leave (normal, sickness, maternity, paternity, special leave)
- Maintains accurate records and prepares reports
- Ensures compliance with all appropriate employment, wage, insurance and tax obligations.
- Supervises and directs payroll procedures.
- Acts as the main point of contact for employees for all payroll-related questions; Researches and responses to a variety of employee concerns in a timely manner
- Maintains electronic filing of payroll documentation
- Solves problems and answers questions about payroll, employment & insurance issues, group health contract and procedures under the jurisdiction of the Human Resources Department.
- Develops systems for processing transactions in the payroll account (eg salaries, benefits, court deductions, discounts, taxes and third-party payments).
- Coordinates time recording and payroll systems.
- Oversees the processing of payroll changes (eg new hires, layoffs, increases) and system upgrades.
- Budgets payroll costs.
- Collaborates with auditors and manages payroll audits (employment, insurance & tax).
- Collaborates with other departments by writing reports and providing information as required.
- Prepares and issues documents to staff for any legal use.
- The position requires constant information and training, due to the frequent changes of the subject
Experience and Qualifications standards:
- BS/BA Degree or higher in Human Resources, International Business, Accounting, Law, or other depending on experience.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position processing a full cycle payroll.
- Previous experience in Pylon System of Epsilonet would be an added value
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
